History

The Toys"R"Us brand has been here to play for a long time. Since 1948 to be exact and Toys"R"Us very quickly became the destination for kids and grown-ups alike to discover and imagine the world of play.

Fast forward to 1984 when the Toys"R"Us banner came to Canada… At that time, it was one of Canada's first big box stores, quite a novelty back then.

Canadian customers have a long relationship with the Toys"R"Us brand, our very own backwards "Я", our loveable mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe, and our memorable theme song, "I Don't Want to Grow Up, I'm a Toys"R"Us Kid". We are proud to be part of the Fairfax family since 2018 and to operate as a business owned and managed by Canadians. We are here to play and here to stay. Today at Toys"R"Us Canada, we believe that play is a right and we champion the power of play for children across the country.

Corporate Positions

Behind the scenes at our Canada Resource Centre or CRC (our head office), our team members operate with what we call the Power of One: our approach to working collaboratively and cross-functionally, with energy and enthusiasm, to deliver a customer first experience.

Distribution Centre Positions

Our Logistics team focuses on efficiency, productivity and accuracy to ensure that our products reach the stores to provide a great assortment for our customers.
